August 09 Oh, Where Art Thou Bloggers? Its been so long since I last entered a blog, I had forgotten that they changed everything. What's up with that?
So lets see what has been going on. We made the decision over the weekend to move back into "our" house. I have a good feeling about it and am pretty excited about it. We had made some updates to the house after we had moved out, so we didnt get to enjoy them, and I'm looking foreward to the kids having their own rooms again.
I went to my first session with my personal trainer yesterday. It went well and we will meet once a week for the rest of the month. She has started me on a little routine already. She suggested I workout 40min, five times a week, if I'm looking to see results. We went over cardio and weights at this first session. I am probably most familiar with weights, and the rest will all be new to me, even though I do elliptical. I think I overdid it though, and ended up in bed for a good 20 hours or so, but am up now and ready to continue shrinking. We were suppose to take my measurements but forgot. I will try and remember my tape measure the next time I go. Plus, she suggested I purchase a heart rate monitor.
Even though this is our WW week off for the inspirational hotties, I have been OP. I actually didnt even eat all my points yesterday since I wasnt feeling well. One of our Hotties, Claire, suggested we try a THanksgiving Day Challenge, which is about 15 weeks away. It will also be perfect timing as I will have to get my cholesterol rechecked in November. I have set my goal for 15lbs in 15 weeks. August 01 My Awesome Inspirational Hotties (Monday)
One cannot change yesterday, but only make the most of today, and look with hope towards tomorrow....

"A real transformation begins on the inside, not in a bottle or a package. The magic is sitting inside you, just waiting to be let out. The transformation is a learning process, one that comes from realizing you control your destiny, and that you can accomplish whatever you decide you're going to accomplish."

Watch Out World Week 2 has arrivedWow!! I cant believe August is here already! Where has my summer gone? Pretty soon Dan will go back to school, we will start getting ready for fall/winter... so many things...
Yesterday was the start of week 2 of our Inspirational Challenge. And once again its off to a good start! My personal trainer hubby signed me up for finally called and I am due to start with her next Tuesday. They will be 1 hour sessions. I am excited about that. I was at the grocery store and found WW yogurts on sale 10 for $10, and being that they are only 1 point, I couldnt resist, plus its a good way to get my milk in.
Hubby has been so impressed with me actually going to the gym, setting up my personal trainer stuff, etc, that he went out and picked up these new shoes by Nike for me. I havent figured out all the gagdets yet, but there is a device in the sole that will get a connection from my ipod, and it will track stuff for me, like miles, steps, and other stuff. I will let you know how it goes! Week One ResultsThe end of week one has passed and I am pretty pleased with myself. Some of the things I have accomplished this week are:
1- 14 activity points-this means going to the club 5 times!
2-Staying on plan with my diet
3-resisting Caribou Coffee
4- Actually running on the treadmill
5-Lost 0.9lbs at my WI on THursday. July 29 WeekendsMy weekend is half-over and I am glad to say that I am on plan. The weekends have always been the toughest part for me because its usually the days that the family eats out in the midst of running errands and doing family stuff. I lucked out for my first weekend challenge. Hubby and the kids took off for the weekend to visit his side of the family. Although they have only been gone a day and I truely miss them, I am glad it was this weekend they went. Tomorrow I will do an end of the week challenge summary of my AP, etc. I am proud of myself for actually going to the gym, i dont think i have done so much activity since high school. I am off for now, but will check in tomorrow. Inspirational Kim(SA)Change: Easy to say but difficult to do! But you will never become who you want to be by remaining who you are. If you are unhappy with who you are today and want to develop a new you in the future, why not make this day THE DAY you begin to make the changes necessary. It’s time to stop thinking about change and start engaging in it. The key here is to take action! Change takes more than simple willpower and desire to create change. It also takes action – mental, physical and social action. And only YOU can make that happen! Choose one thing that you would like to change and take action on it today. The beginning of that new life is only one decision away. Even though it may be difficult, the rewards are astounding and you are very much worth the effort! (Dr. John H. Sklare) July 27 Inspirational Shelly"This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good." Author Unknown Dont Quit (Inspirational Susan)Don't Quit - W.W. Version When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down And you feel like the biggest failure in town; When you want to give up just because you gave in And forget all about being healthy and thin; So What! You went over your points a bit; It's your next move that counts...So don't you quit! It's a moment of truth, It's an attitude change; It's learning the skills to get back in your range; It's telling yourself "You've done great up till now; You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow." It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal; You're still gonna make it, just stay in control. To stumble and fall is not a disgrace If you summon the will to get back in the race; But, often the struggler's when losing their grip Just throw in the towel and continues to slip And learn too late when the damage is done That the race wasn't over and they still could of won. Life-style change can be awkward and slow But facing each challenge will help you to grow; Success is failure turned inside out The silver tint in the cloud of doubt. When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit; If you bite it you write it... But Don't you quit! Author Unknown - Adapted by R.W. Brown July 26 Thinking SkinnyI have been On Plan since Monday, the day we started our Inspirational Hottie Group, and it feels good! When I wake up in the morning I even feel skinny. I know I am not there yet, but its nice to not feel bloated from the late night Taco Bell, or whatever we happen to have driven by and picked up. We are getting ready for a big yard sale to declutter, and to make sure I stay on track I included all the clothing that is either too big or is a little too comfortable and I know wont fit me in a month or so.
July 25 Is Your Glass Half Full? (Inspirational Darci)Often obsticals in our lives will derive from Problems: My theory is that instead of letting the problem cause the "glass is half empty efffect" you need to change it to. "THE GLASS IS HALF FULL" IS YOUR GLASS HALF FULL? think about it,is your glass half full and you look at the problem as a wy to get extied and have more motivation? example (if you had a gain this week are you going to get excited about the problem at hand and think of ways to resolve the problem (the one that maybe is helping gain, or not excersise etc) or are you just going to let it continue... and gain the weeks to follow. are you excited to make a LIFE CHANGE and takel those problems? and make your glass half full. acronim for problem is P uzzles R esolved O nly B y L etting E xcitment M aterialize Going clubbin...Well, I think its a good thing when I have made it to the gym two days in a row! I thought I would be sore after working with some weights yesterday, but managed to motivate myself into getting off my rear end and going to the club. I did however forget to bring in my paperwork for the personal trainer, they make you fill out a health background questionaire. I am excited to start with her and will see if she will do my measurements and then I will post them up and be able to track my progress. Its not all about the scale! One of my major goals is to lower my cholesterol! I am to go back in for a recheck in November and I would like it to be within normal range. I am off to shower, check in on my Hotties and take a nap in case I work tonight! Until then.....stay on plan, drink your water, and think skinny thoughts!
